Activities to keep residents involved It’s important older adults stay socially active. That’s where our activities program is designed to help. Participation is voluntary and each day’s activities are flexible. Daily coffee hour gives the opportunity for one-on-one interaction. Morning exercise classes help stretch muscles. A daily current-events gathering helps stretch the mind. Group activities are planned from 1-2 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. There’s lots to choose from, including happy hours, arts and crafts, picnics, movies, bingo, cards, and much more. At least once each month, residents are also offered the chance to get out into the community where they shop, picnic, attend concerts, visit local parks and zoos. Century Oaks also sponsors several family gatherings each year to allow residents and their families the chance to mix, mingle, and get to know each other. ![]() |
